What we treat
Methamphetamine treatment for men.
The physical crash is the first week. The part that takes real time is getting your sleep, your mood and your ability to feel ordinary things back.
What recovery actually looks like
The crash
Exhaustion, enormous appetite, and sleep that goes on for days. Unpleasant rather than medically dangerous, and much easier somewhere you are safe.
The flat stretch
Weeks where nothing feels good yet. This is where most attempts end, and knowing it is temporary and expected changes the odds.
Coming back
Sleep, appetite and motivation return gradually. It is slower than people are told, and it does happen.
Worried it has done permanent damage?
A lot of what feels permanent in the first weeks is not. Call and ask.
How treatment works here
Evaluation on arrival
A medical history and physical with our staff. That is what determines whether you need detox and what else is going on underneath.
Detox here, if your body needs it
In the same house you will live in afterward, with staff watching. About detox →
Residential treatment, then a plan for after
Around 30 days, flexible by clinical recommendation, with aftercare built before you leave. Aftercare →
Talk to someone who has seen this before.
Free and confidential, with no script and no pressure.
Questions people ask us
Is there a medication for meth withdrawal?
There is no direct equivalent to what is used for opioids. Treatment focuses on sleep, nutrition, medical monitoring and the psychological work.
How long until I feel normal?
Weeks rather than days for sleep and appetite; longer for motivation and mood. That timeline is normal and not a sign it is not working.
What about paranoia or hearing things?
That can happen with heavy use and it is a medical matter. Tell us on the call so the evaluation accounts for it.
Do you treat mental health alongside this?
Yes, in the same plan rather than as a referral out. Treatment here is overseen by psychologists, psychiatrists and counsellors. Dual diagnosis →
Will my employer or family find out?
Not from us. Nothing is shared with anyone without your written authorization.
What does it cost?
That depends on your plan. Most major insurance is accepted, verification is free and takes about five minutes. Verify insurance →
