Areas We Serve
Serving Southern California from the Santa Clarita Valley
Addiction doesn’t respect city limits, and neither do we. Valley Recovery Center’s residential facilities in Newhall and Agua Dulce serve individuals and families from across Los Angeles County and greater Southern California. For many of our clients, the 30-to-60-minute drive out of their neighborhood is itself part of the treatment – enough distance from the people, places, and routines of active addiction to make a genuine fresh start possible, while staying close enough for family involvement.
The Right Distance for Recovery
There’s a reason people rarely get sober in the place they got sick. Staying in your own neighborhood for treatment means your dealer is ten minutes away, your drinking buddies still text, and every corner holds a memory with a craving attached. But going too far — another state, another coast — cuts you off from the single strongest predictor of lasting recovery: an involved family. The Santa Clarita Valley is the distance that works. From almost anywhere in LA County, our facilities are 30 to 90 minutes out: past the point where your old life can casually reach you, inside the radius where your family can show up every week for family therapy and mean it. We think of it as the right distance — removed enough to reset, close enough to rebuild.
How Admissions Works, Wherever You’re Coming From
It starts the same way from every city on this page: one confidential phone call. On that call, our admissions team runs a free insurance benefits check — you’ll know what your PPO plan covers before you make any decision — and a clinical pre-assessment covering substance history, medical needs, and co-occurring conditions, which determines the right level of care and the right house. When it’s a fit, admission can often happen within a day or two, and same-day in urgent situations. We can help arrange transportation, coordinate medical leave with your employer, and walk your family through what happens next. You don’t need to have anything figured out before you call. That’s what the call is for.
Recovery starts with one conversation.

Half the calls we take aren’t from the person who needs treatment — they’re from a wife, a father, an adult daughter who has been up all night searching. If that’s you: you don’t need their permission to call, and you don’t need to know what to say. Have what you can find — their insurance card, a rough sense of what they’re using and how long — and we’ll help you from there, including how to have the conversation and what to do if they say no the first time. Addiction is a family illness; the admissions process treats it that way from the first minute.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you help with transportation to the facility?
Yes. Our admissions team regularly helps arrange transportation from across LA County and Southern California, and can coordinate pickup logistics with families when a loved one is entering treatment.
Can family visit during residential treatment?
Yes — and more than visit. Family therapy is part of the clinical program, and both facilities sit within an easy drive of most of LA County, which makes weekly family participation realistic rather than theoretical.
Do you accept clients from outside Southern California?
Yes. While most of our clients come from LA County, we admit clients from across California and out of state. The admissions process is the same one confidential call, and we can help coordinate travel.
How fast can someone be admitted?
After the phone assessment and insurance verification — both free — admission can often happen within a day or two, and same-day in urgent situations. Windows of willingness close fast; we move accordingly.
